Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and I’m seeing a lot of hearts, a lot of flowers and a lot of red! I love the fact that many people choose a special day each February to celebrate love (and chocolate!). But really, shouldn’t we focus on love and taking care of our loved ones all year round? And, what about ourselves? I’m a firm believer in pampering myself. I often need a “me” day to recharge, relax, and catch up on my latest Netflix binge or novel.
On that note, I encourage you to create a bedroom for yourself that brings you joy. Invest in the softest bedding, splurge on flowers and buy a good mattress! Our daily schedules are crazy and finding a happy place to lay your head at the end of the day is a good way to take care of yourself.
This attic bedroom combines just the right amount of cottage charm and girly accents. The wall behind the bed features wallpaper purchased online from Wallpaper Warehouse. I love the medallion style! The crisp white linens contrast with the dark hardwood floors and soft area rug by Magnolia Homes. The pink throw pillow is a treasure and was purchased at Victory Vintage which is one of my favorite Minneapolis neighborhood gift stores. Fresh flowers feel so elegant, especially in the middle of winter. This February 14th try and take the time to pamper yourself as well as those you love.
